The housing sales in the neighborhoods that I specialize in namely; Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades, Brentwood, Bel Air and Beverly Hills seems to have slowed down and prices seem to be leveling off and maybe even coming down a little. Is this simply a breather or does it show a trend?

For buyers it is all about interest rates, they are back down and as my article in yesterdays blog pointed out jumbo's are pretty close, if not below, the rates of conforming loans. Take the break in sales prices and with inventory picking up look for that home you have put on the back burner waiting for house prices to go down. Watch interest rates not house prices if your monthly payments are a concern
